Geeky mom apps

I’m still learning the ins and outs of having an iPad as my primary computing device. Some of the issues I have with it, like the small overall display, are not necessarily specific to the iPad but to all tablet devices.


Long weekend

We took off for a few days over the long 4th of July weekend. We went to visit my family over in Indiana where fireworks are legal. We go over there most years on the 4th, but this year we decided to get a hotel room for a couple of nights and bring the dog.


Filigree star

This idea has been bouncing around in my brain for some time. I cut it as small as 4 inches wide, but honestly I think you could even go a little smaller. You could also cut it large and use it as a paper doily on your 4th of July picnic table. Lots of options.


Summer (home)school

We are trying year round homeschooling. I’ve found that it’s easier for us personally to do a smaller amount, say 3 hours a day for the entire year. I’m a bit of a task master and I feel better when taking the odd day off here and there knowing that we won’t lose steam. Summer […]
