book-frame

This book is something I’ve been playing with for years. It’s been a bit of a toy box for me. I experiment with stamping, painting, altering on it’s pages. It is the book I grab first for whatever project. I love the texture of the paper, I love the font. I adore the title pages and design elements. It is my tangible muse.  It’s now evidence of my creative process over a period of time. I like that.

When we met, it was worn and missing some pages. Some pages had such deep creases, it was obvious it would never be treated as a book again. So, I had no choice but to rescue it.

For all the pleasure and enjoyment it has given me over the years, it was about time that I decorated the cover and gave it a proper place on my shelf: on display. I chose this photo of a damselfly to frame on the book cover. She’s nice to look at and I love the colors. And she’s looking at me.

Then I had fun decorating with all matter of things.

Enjoy.

Now that is true creativity! I love how you described the ‘rescue’ of this beloved friend.
