Halloween project #3

It seems like I can’t let a season go by without making some sort of banner to hang. I decided that Halloween warranted a banner of warning. I wanted the world to know that glitter is contagious. Beware! Abandon all hope all ye who enter here.

The banners themselves are made from pages from pages from an old book and scrap felt from some long lost garment that was probably hideous. But the felt itself is divine. I love the texture and warmth it gives the banners.

I picked up the Martha felt spider web felt last year and finally got around to using it on this project. I used it as the foundation for the banner. It casts a great shadow on the wall. Little spiders are hung with gold thread and appear to climb up to the web and shimmer in the light. And you will see that the banner goes well with the tombstones I made the other day.

I’ll go over some of the project details over the next couple of days, so stay tuned.

Enjoy.
