pretty little acorn

acorn

I think the acorn has to be one of the most under appreciated symbols of fall. We default to either a leaf, pumpkin, or even a turkey before we look at an acorn. I’m big in to symbolism and was pleased to discover that the acorn represents  patience and the fruition of long, hard labor. To me the acorn is a symbol of harvest.

I’ve been working on an acorn digital cutter file. After making the filigree oak leaf, I started to think about using these pretty diecuts on my Thanksgiving table. An acorn is the perfect accompaniment for the leaf. How pretty it will be along side my decorative pumpkins, too.

I’m sure you could use it for paper crafting, as well.

(I haven’t tested this file yet.)

Here’s the files, all zipped for you in eps, png, dxf, and svg.

Enjoy.

You’re right the acorn is overlooked. Looking forward to cutting this one out.

Oh, now we can use the acorn for sure! I love the swirls, I’ll see how it works and let you know.

    Thanks for sharing!
