Ramping up for Christmas

Submitted by sheila on Monday, 16 November 20093 Comments

I’ll start posting my Christmas projects this week. Before I dive in, I wanted to point out some of my projects from last year. That one up there is a chandelier ornament. I made a print and cut template along with some digital cutter versions. I think I might do something else like that this year!

I used some packaging to make nifty little treat holders. These containers came from some Prima flowers, but lots of other packaging is useful, too.

There were these paper reindeer patterns. Good for young and old alike and they are posted as a print and cut file and a .svg for you SCAL users. I might get around to converting them someday.

I used my alcohol ink to make these clear lights pink. They wiped clean when I got tired of that color. What color should I do this year? Maybe blue or purple?

I love the little wall hanging I made using scraps. I all used a antler svg file I’d made. Love how it came out.

Who could forget the little pop-up sled template? Sheesh, that was one insane project. I’m still thinking about my cards this year. No matter what I end up doing, I’ll share them here. I promise.

There was this tutorial on using stamps to make shaped garland for a tree. I totally forgot about that one. I should try it with some autumn themed stamps, too. Now my head is swimming with ideas.

My favorite project from last year was these little paper trees. Gosh, they were easy to make and so pretty with the little lights inside.

I hope that will tide you over for a few days. Stay tuned for new projects.

Enjoy.

I loved the little paper trees too!!! I can’t wait to make more this season – they looked great in my hutch with the tea lights in them – hint – we actually used those flashing pins that say “great dad” or something like that to illuminate them – they’d change colors from green to blue to red etc… I CAN’T WAIT to see what you come up with for this season!! Thank you!
