come play with me

I’ve been doing a deep purge/cleaning of my crafty space trying to reclaim some space. It started with the removal of a giant corner desk that no longer suited my needs. It ended with me putting together a couple of kits with some of my favorite supplies to send to readers. Then I had an idea…

I have two matching vintage children’s songbooks. Actually, I have a third one for myself. I’ve created matching kits of vintage and new supplies/crap for three of us (one for me and two for readers.) There’s paper, doily stuff, diecut stuff, flowers, chipboard, vintage trim, buttons, and letter/alphabets. Everything sort of goes with the colors in the book. I thought it would be fun to send out the kits tto see what we all come up with. Sound like fun?

Here’s the details:

- Open to all readers including international.

- You will have two weeks from the date you receive the kit.

- You need to alter/play with at least five of the pages in the book. It does not have to be scrapbooking, but can be.

- You may take pages out of the book and create something with them.

- You can add your own rubons, stamps, and sewing, but please use most of the kit. The point of this challenge is to use the same stuff, you know.

- You will need to take good photos and send them to me for posting on cheekymagpie.com

If you are interested, please send me an email ( cheekymagpie AT gmail.com) with a link to some of your work or send me a few photos of what you would like me to see. Of course, you need to replace the AT with @, but you knew that already, didn’t you?

This is not a contest, I just want to have some different styles represented. I have a few more of these planned, so stay tuned for more play dates. I’ll take emails until the end of the day, next Friday, Jan 22.

I hope to hear from you!
