forget me not is an understatement

I spend entirely too much time watching Antiques Roadshow on BBC America. I’m so fond of curios, but especially like the super obscure things from the days of yore. Give me a marrow spoon and I’ll be amused for hours. I have no interest in eating marrow. I am not that kind of girl. Just the knowledge that there is a marrow spoon out there in the world makes me really happy.

Most of all, I really enjoy seeing old paper. It should come as no surprise to my readers, but I will often find myself thinking about what I’ve seen long after the show is over. I’m so obsessed that on nights like the last few, I end up losing sleep thinking about pieces of old paper that reside across the pond. I’ve had forget-me-nots, violets, and posies lodged in my brain for long enough. It was time to get some of it out and make room for more.

This is the first of my official Valentine projects and totally inspired by Antiques Roadshow. I call it a posy pocket and will post instructions tomorrow. The base of the project is this posy heart diecut. I cut mine no smaller than about 5″, although you could try. It takes a while to cut, so be patient. And don’t use paper that’s super thin.

Here’s tit is, all zipped in png, eps, svg, and dxf.

Get to cutting and I’ll see you tomorrow!
