heart shaped cones

January 9th, 2011 in crafts by 4 Comments

You all know how much I love the party cones. We’ll this variation is for those you love. I made a gentle heart shape at the top of the cone. The cone is easy enough for the littlest of crafters to work with.

I decorated with a bunch of miscellaneous goodies including stamping, glitter, crepe paper, and popped up flower elements. I really wanted to put other words on it but I need better alpha stickers. I must remember to add it to my endless list of supply desires.

This template will resize easily.

If you fold the tab, your heart cone will be flat and more of a pocket. If you attach the tab without folding it, the shape will be cone. Little hands might light the pocket shape. After making the cone, I poked a hole on both sides and attached a wire, then wrapped it with ribbon. It would work just as well with lace, thin ribbon, or even yarn for the littles. The cone is deep enough to get filled with all matter of goodies. I used my Martha fringe scissors on an old dictionary and made my own grass.

It’s such a simple little project but one I hope you enjoy.
