valentine tag card

I’ve had a time deficit lately. I don’t know what it is about the cold months that fills up my days so quickly. There’s just so much I want to do and need to do, that time runs out before I know it. It’s been hard to be in a creative space since I started sharing my room with my hubby. If we are in there together he will stop what he’s doing and watch me. Must be all the “power tools” I use. I think he’s a tad jealous. I’ve been sorting through the supplies again, too. I used to have everything out in baskets and containers, many of them vintage and cool on their own, but it started feeling cluttered. As much as I love having it all at hand, it was time for a change. I’ve switched to photo storage boxes in order to try and be neat and organized. Wish me luck on that one.

I made this file over a week ago but have just now found the time to make something with them. Oh my, this is a fun project. I’ve made three on my own so far and started on another. Just for the sake of playing, which is what I’ve really needed to do.

The file is a tag with a flap that folds like a greeting card. There’s flowing heart edge to the flap and corresponding hearts that are individual along with a flowing set. Just a few options to play with.

On this one I just popped a few of the individual hearts and added some fun stuff. I’m in love with using old photos. Aren’t they just the most fun?

On this one I used a combination of the flowing hearts added over the top of the card edge and decorated with  few more hearts. I’ve had the most fun by cutting on double sided paper and a bunch in the same size, that way you end up with so many options.
