chandelier ornament

So I got a little distracted while I was waiting for the paint to dry. I’ve seen other chandelier ornaments but really wanted to do my own version, to make them in different sizes and colors, and bling the crap out of them. Here we go with prototype #1 in pink. I cut it out of heavier weight patterned paper. It wasn’t double sided so I cut two of both and them glued them together for stability before assembling the ornament.
Here are the basic instructions.
~ Cut a minimum of two. The svg file I have here includes two of the same size.
~ After cutting the chandeliers, use this handy-dandy guide for cutting the notches for assembly.
~ Decorate before you assemble. I didn’t do this and it was a pain in the butt to put glitter and bling on it. (You could probably fold them and glue or even sew them if you don’t want to do it this way.)
~ After letting everything dry…hehehe….you can slide the long notch over the small top notch. I added a glob of glue to the sides to keep them in place.
ETA: Here’s the print and cut file for those brave souls that want to do it by hand: Just remember to cut two!

Here is a zip file with digital cutter formats including AI, KNK, EPS, SVG, BMP, DXF and GSD. Please read the terms of use in the file.
As always, enjoy!

That is way tooo cute. Love it!
What a cute chandelier! I want one! But I don’t own a die-cut machine…
Not one…And cutting it by hand is not do-able, I guess…
But still, very, very nice!!!
I don’t own a die cut machine either…I would be prepared to attempt it by hand though as it is sooooooooooooooo cute!!!

Love this chandelier!!! I don’t have a die-cut machine either. I just might try cutting it out by hand because it is just too cute!!!
This wouldn’t be too bad to cut by hand. Start with sharp scissors then move to an exacto knife with a #11 blade. Go slow and it should work out fine.
this is sooo cool!
