Gypsy Fortune Teller Swap
I decided to join one of Alpha Stamps swaps after seeing the theme: Gypsy Fortune Teller. Wow, what a fun time! I don’t think I’ve played with paper quite like that in very long time.
We had to make three unique pages, as they call them. I was befuddled as to what to do until I got my hands on some stuff. Here’s what I made.
First up, I used a couple of images I found on the interweb. That dreamy gypsy girl got me going on all things gypsy. The palmistry stamp is from Alpha Stamps and one I imagine I will use again and again. I made a crystal into a pendulum and added a few tea leaves.
Next up was this framed beauty. I used my Shrine Frame digital file. It was actually created to fit over a matchbox, but worked fine here, too. It was fun to build up on the frame using stuff like the phrenology stamp from Alpha stamps and the black swirl bling from Prima. I included a little fortune from one of those weight machines that used to be in the bathroom of our local Sears. (Much to my dismay, it disappeared a few months ago.)
Last up was this little gypsy dancer from one of the Alpha Stamps collage sheets. She looked to me like she needed a stage to perform on, so that’s what I made. Complete with charms that make tinkling sounds, and little tea leaves at her feet. I included a crystal ball pendant made with glossy accents. Fun stuff!
All of the pages have fortunes on the back. I hope my partners will enjoy these as much as I did in making them. I loved having the excuse and will probably join more in the future.
